  Why do I suddenly want to start reading JW literature and going to Kingdom Halls?

  is good calling me back or am i just letting my emotions get the best of me?also i really want to be closer to my jw family.

  btw i was never baptized and i consider myself a born again christian i go to a baptist church and wath televangelist and i have expirenced gods presence like never before but sometimes i get fearful and think "what if jws are right and i'm wrong" than i'm screwed!but if there wrong and i'm right it doesn't look to good for them.. i would prefer if nobody posted "god isn't real" type comments.

  i truly believe he is real but i respect why some are atheists..

  The desert god is a real A hole in this weeks bible reading

  so this week dubbies read that the mean bad philistines were punished by the desert god for having his ark.

  the desert god punished them with (drum roll please)....... hemroids and rats.

  I was told stop reading the bible just to find fault. When I started reading

  the bible the purpose was to find strength.I had no idea what a agnostic

  was. I was told by folks just have faith if you don't understand. Hell for

  over 27 years God still have me in the dark, what is he waiting for.

  can anyone confirm they seem to be having disagreement writing dept and service dept some feel that df ok as long as you do not add wholesale across the board shunning regardless of the sin ..

  I believe there will be a large increase in their ranks. They will be like

  any other religion. Without the shunning, DF will not be a big deal.

  Hell you can go to college, take blood, miss meetings, no field service.

  Young people can have a normal life, married folks can do whatever they want

  in the bedroom.

  I take it all back, this will never happen.. The GB love the control. I really believe

  they get excited in their beds when they are all alone at night. We have millions of

  mindless people that think we are next to GOD. We love this sh---t...

  Logical consistency, the claims of a belief system must logically cohere

  to each other and not contradict in any way.

  Empirical adequacy, is there evidence to support the belief system.

  The problem, the very book that religious organization follow are

  full of contradiction and no evidence of the stories in the bible.

  For some reason God made it very elusive for mankind to understand

  his wishes. That's why you are in the predicament you are in today.

  If you feel God is calling you it is definitely not the JW God, he is

  busy with child abuse cases..

  This is why you can't take the bible seriously. So long before preparation H

  was invented God gave the Philistines hemorrhoids. Seven month-long

  flaring pack of hemorrhoids, it was so bad they cried out to heaven, in fact

  the whole city cried out to heaven. Yes it was heard in Heaven,"my ass is

  hurting God" 1Sam 5:12. This is some funny stuff.

  Drugs and Alcohol Ruin Your Life

  this point was raised in another thread vaguely, and wanted to try and expand on it.. the wt has said (and rightly so in my opinion) "that excessive use of drugs and alcohol can ruin your life".

  in my eyes this is a fact.. this is where it starts to get a little suspicious, as they also say (or subtly hint at) "that if you leave the wt you will becoming addicted to drugs and alcohol and will ruin your life".. its almost like a self fulfilling prophecy.

  as there are a lot who leave the borg and they do start drinking heavy or smoking, or taking drugs...or whatever.. the wt capitalizes on the fact that people want more freedom, and they subtly ingrain the thought that.

  So true; alcohol had me in a down spiral after leaving the borg. Only

  after I researched the borg my life changed for the better.

  The borg have a lot of over the counter drug users and tons of alcoholics.

  hi guys, this is my first post; i thought i should introduce myself.

  i was raised and spent most of my life a jw before i was disassociated, because i refused to stop seeing a non witness girl.

  i must say their decision to cut me off from my family and friends although initially traumatic ended up being the biggest blessing in disguise of my life.

  Trying to find Faith

  hi im a 14 year old former catholic trying to find a religion and or faith my parents will drop me off at a service they support me no matter what i was wondering if anyone can prove to me their is a god cause right now im confused!
